2. NEW RESTAURANT
ColoradoEats.com is pleased to announce that Amore Restaurant is now part of our family. Award winning Amore Restaurant specializes in freshly prepared, moderately priced, authentic Northern Italian cuisine, presented in an upscale, intimate setting. The restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner, with daily specials and a special Sunday Brunch. Complimentary parking for guests is available in the adjacent lot both day and evening. If you are heading to Cherry Creek, this is a place in which you need to stop.
3. EASTER GOODIES AT MICHELLE'S OF COLORADO
Easter is quickly approaching, and we have found a great place to purchase some home-made chocolates rather than just going to your run of the mill shopping center. Michelle’s of Colorado has been making hand dipped chocolates and home-made specialties for over 60 years. If you are looking for that special Easter gift, and you are tired of all the commercial products, you should check them out. If you can’t drive there, no problem, they will ship their goodies directly to you.
4. THE 10TH ANNUAL RESTAURANT SHOW WAS A BIG SUCCESS
Thank you to those of you who attended the 10th annual Restaurant Show. They only expected to see 300-350 people, but over 500 people attended! Jason Gust of the Ritz Grill emerged as the winner in the chef competition. If you missed the event you can check out the photos in the gallery of the Chef’s Federation website at www.pikespeakchefs.org. Thanks again for your support.
5. FUNDRAISER AT CRAFTWOOD INN
On Monday the 24th of April, eight Colorado Springs and Manitou chefs are presenting a Wine dinner fund-raiser at the Craftwood Inn. Each local chef will be responsible for providing one of the eight courses and the menu will be paired with wines throughout. This event will begin at 7:00 sharp, and the cost is $60.00 with all of the proceeds going to the Rockledge Ranch Culinary Arts and Bluegrass Festival. Call the Craftwood Inn for reservations at 719-685-9000.

6. DINING OUT FOR LIFE DAY
Thursday, April 27th is the annual Dining Out for Life day; proceeds to benefit Project Angel Heart. Chances are that you or your family has been touched by someone with a terminal illness. Don’t you wish you had the support of a caring organization to help your loved ones? Project Angel Heart’s mission is to assist people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses by providing nutritious, home-delivered meals with care and compassion. All you need to do is plan a date, a special lunch, a corporate party, or a family event and eat at one of over 300 area restaurants on April 27th. Each participating restaurant will donate 25% of your purchase (breakfast, lunch or dinner) to this worthy cause. Please visit http://www.projectangelheart.org to find out which restaurants are participating in this event.
