Rancho Pinot
There’s a reason Chrysa and Tom
Kaufman have run Rancho Pinot successfully for so long – they have the
secret formula. A great space that can be for special occasions or just
when you’re looking for some incredible food, attentive but not cloying
service, a great wine list (one of the best in town) and the wide variety
of food.
Appetizers are things you won’t find on other menus – stuffed squash
blossoms, Thai grilled shrimp and squid salad. Main courses are
imaginative and balanced. Nonni’s Sunday chicken is a mainstay with tender
meat and toasted polenta. Fish is cooked perfectly with complementary
accompaniments.
Desserts are made in-house and round out the meal. Or, try a cheese course
– they always have an excellent selection.
good to know: reservations are a must on weekends
what to wear: Scottsdale casual – polo shirts/Dockers for men; chic
attire for women.
must haves: grilled lamb chops with caramelized garlic, flageolet
beans and preserved lemon.
