GrainBelt GrillHouse
They say you can’t go home again, but if you’re from the Midwest, you
can get a taste of home at the GrainBelt GrillHouse in Gilbert. Whether
you’re there for lunch or dinner, GrainBelt has some back home favorites
that will be sure to please whether you’re from Ohio, Missouri or
Nebraska.
The lunch and dinner menus are very similar, with the exception of more
sandwiches at lunch and more steaks at dinner. The “Grazing” section of
the menu includes appetizers loved by Midwesterners, and great
steakhouse favorites. Any St. Louisan will be thrilled by the homemade
toasted ravioli (meat, not cheese!) with a thick, sweet marinara. Dinner
appetizers include crab dip, corn fritters, a Wisconsin sausage and
cheese platter, and wings made with Sweet Baby Ray barbecue sauce.
Sides include a salad with Maytag (Iowa) blue cheese, and a “three
sisters” soup including corn, squash and beans. Lunch salads offer even
more variety.
For lunch, Midwesterners will love the choices such as the Chicago
Italian Beef with plenty of Giardinera, a pork tenderloin sandwich, a
Reuben (did you know it originated in Nebraska?) and Cincinnati Chili
5-Way. The meat is exceptionally good as the restaurant uses only USDA
Choice.
Want steak? GrainBelt is the place to go. They offer filet of beef
tenderloin, a flat-iron cut, a great rib eye and a Kansas City Strip
(also known as a New York Strip). All beef is USDA Choice, corn-fed, and
aged. Steaks come with yummy “fat mashed potatoes” and a vegetable.
Best of all, GrainBelt offers “service with manners.” The servers are
polite, cordial and respectful – everything you’d find in a good
Midwestern steak house.
